AIR OXI TUBE

AIR OXI TUBE

What is an Air Oxi Tube?
Air Oxi Tube: this is a micro-porous aeration device made of rubber or silicone, which releases streams of fine bubbles through aquatic media. It plays the major role of raising the amount of dissolved oxygen by carefully controlling the size of bubbles.

It is commonly used in:
• Biofloc fish farming tanks
• Ponds
• Aquariums
• Shrimp farming

Benefits of Air Oxi Tube

1. Fine Bubble Aeration
– Provides exceptionally small bubbles, thus, improving dissolved oxygen (DO) uptake and reduced energy consumption.

2. Flexible & Easy to Install
– The tube can be mounted on the rim of the tank or located in the middle and thus it can be adjusted to the geometries of different tanks.

3. Energy Efficient
– With low air pressure, it needs less air pressure to attain high oxygen transfer rates hence saves on operations.

4. Reduces Dead Zones
-Pushes the equal circulation of water, avoiding creation of areas of stagnant oxygen, and reducing the accumulation of wastes.

Air Oxi Tube Use in Biofloc Tank.

Connect to Air Pump / Blower
– Use a blower that is of 1-2 HP, depending on tank sizes.

Attach the Oxi tube using:
• PVC nipple
• Hose pipe
• Clamps

Install in the Tank
Installation-Insert the tube in a circular or U-shaped shape on the bottom of the tank.
Note: Maintain a straight but weighted tube to prevent flotation.

Turn On Air Supply
– Confirm the nature of bubble:
Where there must be fine, evenly spread.
– No major bubbles or gaps are present; this means that it is operating correctly.

Maintenance
– Clean the tube every 30–45 days.
– In case bubble density reduces, flush the tube with air-water pressure.

Tube Sizes Available
• 12 mm
• 16 mm
• 20 mm
• 25 mm
