Place Tank on Level Ground
No sharp stones under it.
It is okay when it is shady but also all right when it is sunny.
Fill the Tank with Water
Fill 80% of tank capacity first.
Install Aeration
Pipe – air stones – connect air pump.
Run aeration 24 hours non-stop.
Add Probiotic to Water
Add biofloc bacteria powder, 20-50g in a bucket and add to tank.
Add Molasses/Jaggery
Mix about 200-500g in water and pour.
This feeds the bacteria.
Run Aeration for 5-10 Days
Water will become light brown or coffee like.
This means floc has formed.
Fish should not be stocked until this color is present.
Stocking Fish
Strong / active fingerings are used.
For a 1000L tank – 200-300 tilapia max.
In Rohu/Catla – Maintain low density (100-150).
